What started as a neo-medieval/trad folk project in lockdown (with three sell-out tapes appearing in quick succession) turned into a hauntological contemporary classical project utilising a small chamber ensemble to build unsettling, memory-dilating compositions in the style of a 1960s television orchestra.
HALFNELSON
Halfnelson was my Noise Techno/House alias. I released a few 12″ EP’s and a few tapes before going into deep cover.
I’ve released music under a few other aliases over the years, but nothing significant. Slowcoach was a beats project, Sonder was an ambient/contemporary classical project and Wy was a vocal project, leaning into grunge, indie, lo-fi music. It’s all hidden away on corners of the internet somewhere.
