I have a friend who works at a local auction house. They get there stock from house clearances and a few weeks ago a baby grand piano was transported down from a clearance in London. I was told it would be coming and that they never sell pianos at auction. I enquired as to what price the piano would go in at and got the response “£150”. It sounded too good to be true so I just said “Well I will be bidding then!” thinking someone would outbid me straight away. On the day of action my bid was placed. 150 pounds. Sold. Incredible.
And after not too much trouble, it is now in my living room and I am overjoyed. You can expect some music shortly!
Afternoon all.
Just a head’s up for anyone in the area. I am playing this Sunday (26th May) at the Sofar Sounds day festival which is taking place in a converted Victorian dairy warehouse in Battersea. Have a look around the venue HERE. Look’s pretty good!
